On a cold night at the end of July Drs Taya Van Haren and Emily Stoddart attended the Primary Health Network awards night in Newcastle to represent Point Clare Medical Practice. We were selected as a finalist in the “Patient First Award” for our innovate fever clinic which runs every day at Point Clare Medical Practice. Patients with respiratory illnesses or fever can safely be seen in this clinic. The doctor wears PPE and the patients stay out of the waiting room. Appointments are booked on the day. Through these procedures we keep patients and doctors safe whilst still providing much needed urgent medical care in a timely way. Congratulations to everyone involved in this clinic!
