It was with mixed emotions that friends, family and medical colleagues celebrated Dr. Jon Fogarty’s retirement at an afternoon tea at North Avoca surf club in February. Dr. Fogarty opened the practice in Point Clare in 1980 and has been a cornerstone of the practice ever since. He has looked after several generations of patients in Point Clare and surrounds and is well-loved by the community. He is also well known and respected within the medical community for his commitment to the profession, training of medical students and GPs, and his articles in medical newspapers. Although he will be sorely missed at Point Clare Medical Practice we wish him all the best and look forward to hearing about his next adventures.
